Introduction

Life Calendar - Daily Reminder ("we", "our", or "the extension") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how your data is handled when you use our Chrome extension.

Data Collection and Storage

We do not collect any personal data. Life Calendar operates entirely within your browser and does not transmit any information to external servers or third parties.

All data created by the extension, including:

• Daily journal entries (up to 500 characters)
• Daily focus goals (up to 5 words)
• Journal history and statistics

is stored exclusively in your Chrome browser's local storage using Chrome's Storage Sync API.

Data Syncing

If you are signed into Chrome with your Google account, your journal data may automatically sync across all Chrome browsers where you are signed in. This syncing is handled entirely by Google's Chrome Sync infrastructure and is subject to Google's Privacy Policy.

We, as the extension developers, do not have access to your synced data. The data remains private between you and Google's sync service.

Data Usage

Your journal entries and focus goals are used solely for displaying them within the extension interface. Specifically:

• Showing your journal entries when you click on past days
• Displaying tooltips with your daily goals when hovering over journaled days
• Calculating and displaying your journaling streaks and statistics
• Marking days with journal entries in a different color on the calendar grid

No data analysis, tracking, or profiling is performed.

Third-Party Access

We do not:

• Share your data with any third parties
• Sell your data to anyone
• Use your data for advertising purposes
• Transmit your data to external servers
• Use analytics or tracking tools

Permissions

Life Calendar requires the following Chrome permission:

• storage: Used to save and retrieve your journal entries, goals, and settings in Chrome's local storage. This permission does not grant access to any data outside the extension.

Data Retention and Deletion

Your data is retained in Chrome's storage indefinitely until you choose to delete it. You can delete your data at any time by:

• Uninstalling the extension (this removes all stored data)
• Manually clearing the extension's data through Chrome settings

Once deleted, your data cannot be recovered.

Security

Your journal data is stored securely in Chrome's storage system, which is protected by Chrome's built-in security features. We recommend keeping your Chrome browser and operating system up to date to ensure maximum security.

Children's Privacy

Life Calendar does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13 years of age. The extension is intended for general audiences and does not target children.
